The past two plus years of our adoption journey have proved more than trying. While I’ve learned so much about the Lord and trusting Him, it is most definitely a bumpy road of dramatic ups and downs. Some days I’m confident in what the Lord’s working out in all this, other days, I’m fighting through deep emotion and sadness, trying hard to believe for a redemptive end.
And I know I’m not the only one.
My friend Lindsy Wallace and I have been praying about a place for women like us; women in the midst of the wait, in the throws of this emotional storm where trust and hopelessness battle, waiting for our children to come home. It’s a time of both desperation and hope, of fear and extraordinary trust. We believed this group of waiting parents needed a space to breath, to unite, to be encouraged, and to come together to rely on the One True Hope, Christ.
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. – Hebrews 6:19
If you’re a waiting adoptive parent, or if you’re walking alongside another family in their wait, we’d love to have you join our community. You’ll find daily devotions written with your heart in mind, and encouraging Scriptures to anchor your soul right back to the source of all hope when you feel there’s none left. We will come together daily to pray and seek the Lord during this unique season.
We’re kicking off our first month with prayers for the children of DRC that are stuck do the exit letter suspension, but please know, this is a place for all those who wait for their children to come home.
Don’t walk through the wait alone. Let’s come together to seek the Lord in the midst of the hard.
