Friends: Thank you for stopping in today. I know many stop here on Tuesdays for our weekly Heart + Home link up, and I’m grateful for each of you, for your big hearts, for the sweet posts you share each week.
This week, I just felt led to take a little break. Just a week-long respite from the link up and the blog. My heart is full and excited about things to come (and next week’s Influence Conference!), but for the next few days I’m taking an impromptu blogging break because I sense the Lord calling me to rest in Him, to draw in, draw close. Please do check back next week for our regular link up again.
Before I head into the quiet, I wanted to share with you about an incredible little boy named Baby Joshua. He was found abandoned in DR Congo (where we are adopting) near one of the foster homes. He is estimated to be 3-6 months old, and was initially found weighing under two pounds.
With the crazy hard work of some very brave women from All Blessings International, little Joshua was granted an emergency humanitarian parole to come to the US for care. He arrived yesterday and is in the NICU in Washington, DC.
I’m sharing Joshua’s story because it is a miracle.
I’m sharing to ask for your specific prayers for this little guy’s life. He is such a fighter and people literally all over the world are hearing his story and seeing God’s hand at work.
There are much more detailed updates and posts of Joshua and his progress on the Baby Joshua in Congo Facebook page. Please consider visiting the page to read more and to share with others. You can also donate to help cover Joshua’s medical care (which is a huge need right now) directly via the page.
Thank you in advance for praying for this sweetness and the people who are tirelessly caring for and fighting for him.
Pray you will find some sweet rest this week, too. -l
The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. -Exodus 14:14
