We celebrated new life this week.
Sweet friends in our life group welcomed their third child, a little girl. I took the kids to visit since A was out of town (my survival this past week is another post in itself). My boys were bouncing off the walls (actually off the little built in bench/bed thingy) and I thought we might get kicked out of the hospital. The seasoned daddy pulled out a little show on his phone, though, which bought me approximately 4 minutes of conversation with the mama and a little time for Sis to hold the new babe in peace.
It was sweetness and made me yearn all the more to know our next baby’s story. To see her Big Sis hold her and love on her.
I cannot wait.
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you.
–Psalm 139: 13-19
Speaking of babies, in two weeks I head back to Guatemala with WorldHelp, but this time, hubby and an amazing team from our church are coming, too. I hope you’ll follow the journey here, as I’ll blog as I can. Much more coming on all this soon, but for now, save the dates (and please share + pin to spread the word!).
If you missed my October 2012 trip with WorldHelp and Operation Baby Rescue, you can catch up here.
