Our weeks this summer have been so very full.
On the hard mama days, I really feel those extra hours of summer.
But something about summer brings such sweetness and a remembering of being a kid and a savoring of little things.
And it makes me want to soak it all in and soak up these little people and these long days.
To soak in all the extra sunlight and family time and (pseudo) gardening and corn on the cob and bike riding and walks and swimming and catching fire flies and watermelon and sprinklers and cook outs and camp outs.
There is such goodness in these simple pleasures.

Yes, some days are so good and so full we just fall asleep in the middle of the floor playing dinos. That’s a good day.
I can’t help but think of our Creator.
How beautiful it all was in the beginning, and how He invited us to enter into this story, and how He made us to behold beauty.
Today, I’m praying I won’t take the days or the simple little pleasures for granted. I’m praying I’ll remember the Creator and know that it is good.
Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. Genesis 1:31
