I will never forget hearing his story.
This little boy, the one with big chubby cheeks, so full of life and smiles and giggles, the one that reminded me so much of our youngest son.

His name is Diego.
The only life he has known is life in the Baby Rescue Center at Hope of Life in Zacapa, Guatemala.
Strangers discovered him, abandoned in a dumpster as a newborn, when they noticed dogs fighting over his umbelical cord. They called Hope of Life and he came to live with dozens of other sick babies at the center. While most of those babies are nursed to health and then returned to family, Diego has no family. No one to claim as his own.

Today, I’m honored to be sharing Diego’s story over at the Mercy Found Me blog. I hope you’ll join me there, and read how Diego’s story and life have impacted ours in a powerful way.
Mercy Found Ministries exists “to walk alongside Christian adoptive families by offering financial support through matching grants and emotional support through Christ centered community during and after the adoption journey.” I’m also excited to be partnering with this ministry for the month of June. Make any donation to their ministry, which partners with Abba Fund to create adoption grants for families, and you’ll receive a specially created Mercy Ink print, like the one below.
Be sure to head over their way, check out their blog, and read more about their ministry.
And if you’re here visiting Mercy Ink for the first time from Mercy Found, welcome!
I am so very glad you stopped by and hope you’ll find yourself right at home here.
