I mentioned in my Father’s Day gift guide how much I enjoy putting together gift guides. And it got me thinking that I should share a favorite lovely thing with you more often. Way back (when Mercy Ink used to be Summit St Joy), I used to share a Fave5 of Friday… a list of five favorite somethings every week.
So today, I’m introducing a simple little regular feature here on the blog, the Friday Find.
A sweet little treasure totally worthy of sharing. I hope you’ll stop in on Fridays to check out my find of the week. (And if you’re looking for the Weekend Reading links, come back on Saturday morning).
Today’s Friday Find:
Potter’s Workshop Tableware via West Elm, $8/piece
Why It’s Special:
First of all, shout out to West Elm for their collaborations with real artists around the globe. I hope we continue to see this with brands partnering with artisans and paying living wages to the makers of their products. Potter’s Workshop, based in Cape Town, South Africa, is a team of artisans specially trained to create these intricately decorated African ceramics. Against tradition, men (rather than women), apprentice for two to three years to learn the art.
