Are you having a good week, friend?

Have you had a hard-for-no-reason-kind-of-day in there somewhere?  I’ve had a few of those days lately.  I’m not proud of them, but I’m learning to learn from them.

I’m praying that I’ll cling to 1 Corinthians 13 today. Do all things in love. Speak in that love. It doesn’t come natural, does it?  But it’s worth pressing in for. It’s worth learning to speak the language. Our husbands and children and neighbors and servers at the restaurant and strangers in the long line at the post office and the old lady driving ten under the speed limit on the highway, they will all appreciate our language when it sounds like this.

Gracious words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 16:24

Oh, Lord, only by your grace!

Some news on our weekly link up:

Several months back I had asked if y’all like the two separate sections for the link up… one place for home related posts, one for heart related posts.  Everyone that responded responded that they did in fact like the organized sections.

But here’s the thing… it seems like it’s still confusing for newer folks and a lot of links end up all jumbled up anyway.  Mostly the heart posts are in the heart section and the home posts are in the home section, but a good number are mixed. SO… I decided to make Heart + Home just one big happy family link up.  Still same topics.  Still about what’s going on in your heart and home. But now just one section.

How do you feel about that friend?  Irritated? Excited? Entirely indifferent?  You can be honest ;)

But I have a feeling we’ll all be alright.  It’s a link party, y’all.  It’s not that serious. Right?  I just knew you’d feel me on this one.  So we’re on the same page?  Ok then, let’s get on to it

{and PS: please know I adore your posts. I treasure your words and appreciate the time you take to join in. Just wanted you to know that, too! I say “it’s just a link party”, but want to make sure you know my heart.}

Thanks for linking up! Take a moment to visit another sweet blogger and leave her some love.

    I think it’s a good idea to combine the 2! You’re right, it’s a party. :)

  2. I liked the two link ups; it was a unique and creative idea. But I can see how it can be confusing, especially for new readers.

I totally understand your decision, and hey, it makes a little less work for you!

You’re right, we will all be alright! ;)

    • Thanks Sarah! I’m still feeling torn, even after I made the decision. I know it’s a silly little thing…. erg. We’ll see how it goes this week ;) But thanks for joining in anyway & for encouraging me today!

  4. I think it’s just fine either way. If this is a little less confusing for readers, than it’s probably a good decision. But I enjoyed the separate categories, too. Sorry :(

  5. I had two completely separate linky parties on my blog – just combined them into one weekly linky party. Funny how we worry about stuff like that, huh? :) Thanks for hosting!

  10. Hi Lauren! I just found your blog recently and have been blessed reading it ever since. I’ve started a little bit of blogging myself and am just learning about link parties. I added my latest posts to your party and will link to you, too. Incidentally, I totally needed the 1 Corinthians 13 love reminder today and I think the single category party works great! Enjoy your week. =)

  13. I hear you about the hard days. That’s kinda what the post I linked up is about, actually. As far as the linky party, I think it works either way, but simpler is usually better!
