Upcycled Fall T Shirt Wreath

You know I love to create decor out of things I already have.  Less waste. Less money. It’s a happy thing.

Last year I shared this scrap t shirt wreath tutorial.  Somehow in my wordpress transfer over the summer, the post was lost in space, so I don’t have any tutorial pics for you.  But basically I used old t shirts and a wreath form I had.

T shirts were ripped into long strips, about 1-2 inches wide.  Then I just wrapped away and used hot glue on the back side to secure the material.

One more way to spend less so I can give more.

And these days, I have all the more reasons to save up to give.

Plus, I just love creating, so it’s a win win win.

What about you, friends?  Do you tend to use materials you already have for crafts and decorating, or do you prefer to purchase materials new?

Leave a comment and let us know your favorite materials or upcycled project you’ve done.

  1. I love this! And, yes… I repurpose colorful bed sheets and t-shirts quite frequently :). Who wants to pay $7-10 per yard of fabric, when you can easily find something in the closet that hasn’t seen daylight in a while? Did you just twist and coil the fabric to make the rosettes?

    • EXACTLY! I’ve been into finding vintage linens at thrift stores lately. Not sure what I’m going to do with them, but I’m sure I’ll come up with a fun project or two ;) For the rosettes, I used longer strips of t shirt and did a twist/coil/turn/hot glue sorta deal. How’s that for a tutorial?! ;) -l
