I have shared over and over again on my personal blog that motherhood is the greatest struggle of my life. It has also brought the greatest joy.
This morning I came across this beautiful ebook, MotherLetters. I purchased it right away and have spent the morning reading through, as I’m home from church with a sick baby today.
It’s an incredible collection of stories from real moms all over the country. So much inspiration and encouragement in these pages! One letter tells the story of a first time expecting mom who’s not feeling so excited about being pregnant. She believes she must be the only one not thrilled about the miracle of pregnancy. The author writes,
“Isn’t that just the way of motherhood, though? Thinking, “I must be crazy. Everyone else has it together. I’m the only one …”
Man, those words strike a cord in my heart. So often I think I’m the only mom struggling in this role.
There is so much hope knowing that others have gone before us and we are not alone on this crazy journey of mommyhood!
As we approach Mother’s Day, consider this sweet ebook for a sweet friend, new mom, for your mama, or for yourself. The encouragement is worth the small investment of $6.99 ;)
Praying you know you’re not alone today, mama.
