So I’m really the kind of person that loves to be organized.
I love for things to have a place and for things to not be cluttered and to keep on top of everyone’s schedule with superb skill.
Real Simple is my favorite magazine (although I don’t subscribe, just scour the website for tips and photos of finely organized spaces).
But the sad truth is that I have a very difficult time making any of these ideals and pretty pictures into reality. I think it’s a combination of the time factor and the kids factor, but whatever the reason (or excuse!), my life and home are simply not as organized as I would love for them to be. Don’t drop by unannounced, because it’s probably a wreck in here on any given day!
Today I was on a mission to make a dent in the disorganization at home. I didn’t go anywhere today. Just the back yard for some play time with the kiddies this afternoon, but no where else. It was great!
I made a huge dent in a few big projects that where overtaking my life, like my desk in the living room. It’s a small space that I’m running several different businesses out of, so the chaos was just too much!
But, I’m here to report that after today it’s looking quite… organized :)
Isn’t this beautiful? I think so, but it’s actually not my new office space. Shocker, I know.
Ironically, I had hoped to post pictures of my new desk/office area on the blog tonight, but turns out I can’t find my camera. True story.
So, perhaps some more organizing and decluttering are in store for tomorrow afternoon, and hopefully an updated post with pictures to come, pending the discovery of lost camera, likely in some ridiculously odd place that it should never have been if I were only as organized as I pretend to be.
